BIOGRAPHY

Benjamin McFadden (he/him) is a Seattle-born theatre and film practitioner working as a director, actor, producer, and teaching artist. Raised in the Pacific Northwest and now based in Los Angeles, his work spans stage, screen, and education, with a particular interest in bold storytelling, reimagined classics, new work, and inventive theatrical forms.

As a director and creator, Benjamin is drawn to work that feels immediate, collaborative, and alive. His creative practice centers on actor-driven storytelling, ensemble collaboration, and staging that embraces the unique possibilities of live performance. Whether working with heightened theatricality, puppetry, movement, or reimagined texts, he seeks to create experiences that invite audiences to feel the risk and spontaneity of storytelling in real time.

As an educator, Benjamin brings the same spirit of curiosity and collaboration into the classroom, creating environments where artists can experiment, take creative risks, and develop confidence and agency through hands-on practice.
